A great day
The soundtrack to yesterday was Copland, which I thought appropriate for the civic-minded spirit. Today, it's my long-time favorite, The Dismemberment Plan. A reminder that I've been voting for Change since 2002, when it was the Plan's latest album.
Dave is a writer and musician based in Philadelphia. He is a feature contributor and music critic for the Courier-Post, and his work has appeared in Symphony, MBA Jungle, the Philadelphia Bulletin, and Philadelphia Weekly, and on the websites Phawker, Broad Street Review, and NewMusicBox. He is a 2007 graduate of the Goldring Arts Journalism program at Syracuse University and 2006 graduate of Bucknell University. He writes about classical and contemporary music with an emphasis on new commissions and the works of living composers, as well as the occasional rock concert.
